Tony Buckley
Tony studied craniosacral anatomy. He has over 30 years of experience working in the therapeutic field, including teaching, supervision, private practice, and managing teams of counsellors both in university settings and in a counselling service for adolescents in the voluntary sector.
Previously, he worked for seven years as the manager of the counselling and traumatic stress service at Transport for London (formerly London Underground), which provides traumatic stress treatment services, psychological education, stress management groups, and first aid following critical incidents.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Tony has been teaching Sensorimotor Psychotherapy internationally for over 12 years, delivering all 3 levels of the method in Ireland, Norway, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Finland, Australia, and most recently in Ukraine.
Publications
In addition to teaching and the creative development of therapists’ skills, Tony works as a therapist in private practice and, when time allows, enjoys writing, having published several articles in the field of somatic psychology and co-authored a chapter entitled “Healing the Traumatized Organization” in the 2012 Wiley-Blackwell book “International Handbook of Workplace Trauma Support.”
